Day 1
Arrival in Windhoek. Hereafter, you will get to know the capital of Namibia by means of a short city tour. Then we drive to your accommodation, the guesthouse “Onganga” in Avis. Avis is located in a small quiet district of Windhoek. Here you can relax at the pool or in the lovingly furnished rooms after the long flight. (Breakfast)
Day 5/6
Now it’s time to cool off on the coast: our next destination is Lüderitz. Here we stay 2 nights in the luxurious Nest Hotel, which is located directly on the beach. All rooms enjoy beautiful views of the bay and are within easy walking distance of the center. The next morning we visit the famous ghost town Kolmanskop and then the “Diaz Cross”.

Day 8
Today we drive to Namib Desert Lodge, just 60 km north of Sesriem, which stands directly at the foot of the fossilized dunes of the Ur-Namib. This lodge is the ideal starting point for the next day’s trip to the highest dunes in the world: Sossusvlei.
This lodge, with its two pools amidst old trees and palm trees and a great restaurant, invites you to linger and relax. In the evening you can take part in a sundowner tour with an open 4×4 vehicle, enjoying the unique color diversity of this landscape.

Day 9
In the early morning we go to Sossusvlei. As you climb up the dunes, you will enjoy unforgettable views of small yellow-white veils that stand out against the orange dunes. In the early afternoon, it is time to recover from the dry air and heat on the cool coast and we drive to the coast to Swakopmund. On our way to Swakopmund we drive through the Kuiseb Canyon, where two German geologists sought refuge for two years during the Second World War.
About Uis we drive to the beautiful city of Swakopmund. Here we stay the next two nights in the hotel “Schweizer Haus”.

Day 10
Today you have the opportunity to get to know the beautiful city of Swakopmund with its many small shops. Architecturally and linguistically, the German roots are unmistakable in Swakopmund and the buildings, which date from the German colonial era, are worth seeing. It is also possible to explore the dunes around Swakopmund by means of a quadbike. But also dune boarding or skydiving is possible, or watch the dolphins relaxed from a boat!
Day 11
Our next destination is Damaraland. On the way we stop at the largest seal colony in the world: Cape Cross. After a long drive we arrive at our present home: the Twyfelfontein Country Lodge. Here in the late afternoon you have the opportunity to drive through the dry riverbeds with an old Unimog and look for elephants. When visiting the waterhole, you can then watch the pachyderms from very close. After about 3 hours, a delicious dinner buffet awaits you.

Day 12
In the early morning we drive to the Burnt Mountain and to Twyfelfontein. Here you can take part in a short hike, where you can visit the most famous rock engravings of Namibia. Then we make our way to Etosha Park. On the way there we visit the Petrified Forest. These are fossil tree trunks that are between 260 and 300 million years old! Between the fossilized tree trunks you will find many of the very slow-growing Welwitschia Mirabilis. In the late afternoon we reach the Etosha Safari Camp, which is located at the entrance of the famous Etosha Park.

Day 15
After breakfast we head for Windhoek. During the trip, we stop at the woodcarving market in Okahandja. Afterwards we visit the graves of the German soldiers as well as the grave of the Herero chief. In the afternoon you can go shopping in the center of Windhoek or relax on the last day of your trip at the pool of the Onganga Pension.
